8th Annual Holiday Trivia Contest Winners

Wow! Our best ever response to our "8th Annual Holiday Trivia Contest" with 176 correct entries! Ian, Sheila, and I want to take this opportunity to say "Thank you" to those of you who took the time to participate in our little Holiday trivia contest that we posted to all of you in December. The trivia question was:

8th ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRIVIA:

Without a doubt, one of the most famous and iconic escapes of all time is Houdini's upside-down "Hanging Strait Jacket" stunt. Houdini presented it many times, while hanging from the ledge of buildings, cranes, etc. Since then, many, many performers have presented their own version of this masterpiece. One of the most spectacular versions of this escape was performed on February 7, 1975, and broadcast on television. The performer, going only by the moniker, MR. "X", was tied into a strait jacket and then suspended upside-down over Niagara Falls! The escape was sensational, and looked even more so with the partially frozen Falls underneath him.

TRIVIA QUESTION:

State the true identity of Mr. "X".

There were MANY responses, most of them correct. The correct answer was James Randi.

As stated in the contest rules, all of the correct entries (James Randi or similar) were placed in a basket and the two winners were randomly drawn from those entries. And now, for the moment you have all been waiting…
