Cannon's Great Escapes Magic & Escape Gala Show!

Mark & Sheila Cannon, owners of Cannon’s Great Escapes, are long time supporters of good causes in the Inland Empire and nationally. Every two years they donate half of the proceeds of their bi-annual Escape & Magic Show to some worthy cause. Past recipients have included Hurricane Katrina victims, Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude Children Research Hospital. This year is no different. 2009’s recipients of their fundraising efforts will be the recent victims of the Southern California wildfires. Having their own home threatened by a fire this summer brought home the real possibility of evacuation. So, they decided to help others out who did have to evacuate and suffered damage to their homes and property by donating half of the proceeds from the Escape & Illusion Show to the recent victims of the Southern California wildfires.

The Cannon's Great Escapes ESCAPE SHOW! is an exciting Escape and Illusion Extravaganza that is sure to please the entire family! This event is open to the public and begins at 7:00 pm, on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel located at 222 N. Vineyard Ave., Ontario, California in the Vineyard Ballroom. All are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance, as tickets may be sold out at the door. What’s better still is that 50% of your ticket purchase will benefit the recent victims of the Southern California wildfires!

This year, their Saturday evening, open-to-the-public show features star of the Discovery Channel's "One Way Out" show, Jonathan Goodwin! This guy is crazy! If you have seen his show, you know what they mean. He has brought a whole new meaning to ESCAPE! But that isn't all! Emcee Jim Bentley, aka Houdini, will contribute his extraordinary magic skills. They are also proud to announce that they have secured "The Washing Machine Guy", Rick Maisel! If you have seen his act on one of many different television appearances, you know that he has a signature act that is like nothing else! This highly entertaining gentleman gets stuffed into a washing machine, and then....Well, you will have to come and check it out for yourself! (I'm beginning to see why escape artists are so familiar with strait jackets!). But wait! From Merry Old England comes the dynamic escape team of "Amethyst"! Daniel Hunt and Annette Claire Reid are outstanding, and have been featured on numerous cruise ships, the Blackpool Convention, and more! In fact, they have received much media attention over their fantastic jail escapes! These two are the real-deal. Lastly, they are happy to have USA's Danny Ray! Danny is very busy--always on the road touring--and presents one of the most talked about and dramatic underwater escapes: The Chamber. You have to see this to believe it! Mark & Sheila will also make a short cameo appearance.
